Obituary for Agnes Elvie Long

Agnes Long was born at home on April 26, 1928 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to Martin and Emma Svehla. She passed unto her heavenly father’s hands on June 14, 2017.

Agnes met her soul mate, Nelson when he surprised her by shooting her with a rubber band gun and throwing rocks at her. It was love at first sight.

Agnes used her talents to fill her life with a variety of skills. She taught Sunday school for over 50 years, crafted and painted porcelain dolls; she completed each with exquisite outfits that she made for each one. She was an exceptional seamstress and continued with this activity until the last few years.

Agnes and Nelson had two children, Sharloyn Glenn and Marty Long. They traveled the United Stated visiting National parks, the Redwood forest and other sites in the US. They also spent many hours at the lake for skiing and fishing trips. Their lives were filled with love, laughter and family.

Agnes had many health challenges, but continued to lead a full life until the last few years. By her side, as always, supporting and encouraging her was her Nelson.
