Obituary for Betty Lou Glanz

Betty Lou Glanz, 72 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on June 29, 2017 at her residence. She was born on February 19, 1945 in Wagoner, Oklahoma, a daughter of James Roosevelt Peters and Mattie Rebecca (Gay) Peters.

After graduating high school, she went on to become a beautician/hairstylist for 17 years. During this time she married former Sheriff, Stanley Glanz and had two wonderful sons, David and Darren Glanz.

Betty had a gift of loving everyone she met; no one was ever a stranger to her. She was always full of laughter and would brighten up the room when she walked in.

Betty was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the President of the Pilot Club. She participated in Meals on Wheels and was a Breast Cancer Survivor.

Betty is survived by two sons, David Glanz of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and Darren Glanz of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Jimmy and wife, Moe Gay of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Martha Hobbs of Beggs, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Dorian Lee Glanz of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and one grandson, Jackson Xavior Glanz of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was proceeded in death by her mother, Mattie Rebecca Peterson; four brothers, Kenneth Peterson, Justin Peterson, James Peterson and Doyle Peterson.
