Obituary for Elma "Dutch" Gallion

Elma “Dutch” Gallion, 93 of Claremore, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, September 1, 2017 in Owasso, Oklahoma. She was born November 29, 1923 in Shidler, Oklahoma, a daughter of Fines Eugene Gallion and Floral Johnston Gallion.

“Dutch” was a factory worker at Zebco for many years and was a Pentecostal. She enjoyed crocheting, loved a good hamburger and was very active in her church and church activities.

“Dutch” never married but had many nieces and nephews that cared for her. She is survived by seven nieces, Loretta Brown of Claremore, Oklahoma, Helen Johnson of Owasso, Oklahoma, Ellen Del Sordo of Collinsville, Oklahoma, April Romine of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Linda Moss of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Karen Scott of Peggs, Oklahoma, and Jeannie Jones of Kingman, Arizona; four nephews, Aaron Gallion of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bruce Gallion of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Phillip Gallion of Wichita, Kansas, Paul Wayne Smith of Bend, Oregon; and other family members, Roger Blanton of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Debbie Bishop of Claremore, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Paul Smith, Guy Smith, Frank Gallion, Harold Gallion and Ted Gallion; two sisters, Velma Copeland and Thelma Miller; three nephews, Jerry and Larry Mattingly and Allen Copeland; and one niece, Phyllis Riddle.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Woodland Memorial Park, 1200 N. Cleveland Ave., Sand Springs, Oklahoma 74063.
