Obituary for Marilyn R. McCaslin

Marilyn R. McCaslin, 70 of Sand Springs, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, August 28, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born May 4, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of Melvin Peninger and Helen Margaret Evans Peninger.

Marilyn married Raymond McCaslin and made their home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, where they raised two sons.

Marilyn was a receptionist for Williams Companies of Tulsa, Oklahoma for approximately 12 years. She received her real estate license when she was in her thirties. She was a very kind and loving person and loved everything and everyone. She loved spending time with her family and being a grandma (Grandma Mac). She enjoyed fishing, traveling and gardening; always spending time in the yard and being outdoors.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond McCaslin of the home; two sons, Brandon McCaslin and Scott McCaslin both of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two brothers, Marvin Peninger and wife Sue of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Martin Peninger and wife Kathy of Sachse, Texas; five grandchildren, Kayla, Paige, Jenna, Matthew and Danielle McCaslin; one great-grandson, Wyatt Kehler and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Helen Margaret Evans Peninger.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home’s Legacy Chapel, 1200 North Cleveland, Sand Springs, Oklahoma 74063.
