Obituary for R. Clark Walton

R. Clark Walton, 76 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born on November 20, 1940 in Tulsa, the son of Wilbert “Buddy” and A. Francis (Debolt) Walton.

On February 3, 1962, Clark married the love of his life, Judy Ann Box. Their union was blessed with two sons; Stephen and Chris.

After graduating from college, Clark served in the United States Army. After he was discharged, he entered the funeral business and later built and operated Lakeside Funeral Home in Sand Springs. He then worked in the Banking Industry for 25 years holding various positions from Chief Commercial Lender to Special Investigator for the FDIC.

Clark is survived by his wife, Judy Walton of the home; two sons, Stephen Walton and wife Vicki of Bixby; Chris Walton and wife Kristen of Bixby; sister, Kay Grimes of Sand Springs; grandchildren, Tristan Walton, Alison Walton, Addison Walton, Alex Walton and Avery Walton; brother in law, Montie Box and wife Betty Box of Sand Springs; Niece, Traci and husband Travis Yates of Sand Springs; and numerous extended family members.

Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Francis Walton, and Brother-In-Law Pat Grimes.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled on Saturday, July 1st, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Broadway Baptist Church, 1000 N. Adams Road, Sand Springs, Oklahoma 74063.
