Obituary for Wanda May Taylor

Wanda May (Knight) Taylor, age 91 of Tulsa, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Wood Manor nursing home in Claremore. A viewing will be from 10:00 am till 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home’s Legacy Chapel in Sand Springs. Interment is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma
Arrangements are entrusted to Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home in Sand Springs.
Wanda was born on January 10, 1926 in Catoosa, Oklahoma to Ulysses S. Grant Knight and Rachel Laura Ann (Haynes) Knight. She grew up and attended High School, married the love of her life Billy F. Taylor. They had two children, Holly Ray, and Melody Lynn.
Wanda was a devoted wife and mother; she loved the Lord and spent countless hours ministering the needs of others, along with her husband Rev. F. Taylor. Together they had a special place in their hearts for the Hmong people and worked with them side by side for many years.
Wanda enjoyed Cross-stitch, counting, and genealogy, but most of all she loved Jesus.
Wanda is survived by her two daughters: Holly Ray (Taylor) Runyon, and Melody Lynn (Taylor) Raper, grandchildren: James Runyon and wife Cynthia, Christian Ricks and husband Douglas, Shelly Brumley and husband Nelson, Bradley Yingt and wife Amy, Melisa Green and husband Heath, Paula Roland and husband Bryon, Pamela Phillips, and numerous great grandchildren and precious family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses S. Grant Knight and Rachel Laura Ann (Haynes) Knight; and husband, Rev. B F Taylor.
